Carimba are a concept band based in Glasgow in Scotland Their musical philosophy is to create jazz music based on the dance grooves of today, or it could be described as dance music based on the jazz grooves of yesterday Fusing musical styles is nothing new but the scope for diversification is endless Similar to the jazz-funk explosion of the late 70s early 80s, this music provides new avenues for jazz - straight on to the dance floors Stimulating groove topped with simple melodic jazz |
